FAQs

  1. Is the site free? Yes – the service is free!
  2. Do you accommodate both the restaurant and hotel/lodging industry? Yes we do - in addition to all the services we offer that overlap both the restaurant & hospitality industry, we also offer users to search or post hotel/lodging-related jobs and buy or sell hotels, motels, inns, B&B’s and resorts.
  3. Do I need to open an account to search? No. Restaurant2Restaurant let's you search the entire site without signing up.
  4. How do I search ads? Pick a topic to search from the green toolbar that runs across the top of the page. Click and you are on your way.
  5. Do I need to open an account to post an ad? Yes. To post an ad you must open an account, which allows you to create and manage a profile. The “my account” section allows you to save favorites, edit expired ads (after 30 days), or delete ads.
  6. How do I post ads? After you create an account, look for the silver box on the upper right-hand side of the page that says “create an ad.”
  7. How long do ads last on the site? Ads last for 30 days. However, you can always re-post an expired ad – just go to “my account” and click on “show”, then click on “copy ad” and then after reviewing the ad, click “post ad” – the ad will then be visible for the next 30 days.
  8. Will I receive an email reminder that my ad will expire? Not yet, but this type of notification is in the works along with other site improvements.
  9. Does the keyword search apply to the whole site or to just to an ad type, like “search equipment”? The keyword search only applies to an ad type only and not the whole site – this way the search will focus only the topic you would like searched (like equipment), rather than the whole site.
  10. Can I save as many ads in my favorites as I want? Yes, the site allows you to save as many ads as you want.
  11. Where do I manage my personal account information? Click on “My Account” and you’ll see (1) the ads you have placed (2) the ads you have saved as favorites and (3) your personal account information – just swap old information for new and save – so easy. Can I find out how many people have viewed my ad?
  12. When entering a pay range in a job listing, do I include decimals & symbols? The "pay range" field accepts digits only, no symbols, nor decimals and auto-formats the ".00" So if you were to enter a $13.00 to $15.00 hourly pay range you'd enter "13" and "15" - and if you were to enter a $25,000 to $30,000 pay range, you'd enter "25000" and "30000" - then click on "view ad" at the bottom, then "post ad" - you'll then see all numbers formatted.
  13. Can I post an ad to lease a restaurant as well as buy? Sure - the ad template allows you to select either sell or lease.
